The CLC Difference

Located just 2½ hours from New York City and Philadelphia, our unsurpassed facilities are set on 200 acres in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.

As you enter our gates, you immediately get a feeling that Chestnut Lake is a special place. Friendship, spirit and excitement can be seen and heard all throughout camp. We have created a community where campers have the freedom and confidence to be themselves. Our "Bring Out The Best" philosophy encourages every camper to try new things as well as show off their talents during their fun-filled summer.

Flexibility To Design Your Summer

Whether you are looking for a 3-week, 4-week or 7-week experience, Chestnut Lake offers a dynamic program that includes Tribal (Color War), out of camp trips, theme days, camp within a camp specialty programs, inter-camp tournaments, creative nighttime events and countless Chestnut Lake traditions.

The daily program includes a balance of group-centered (mostly by gender/grade) and elective (individually chosen and with more mixed groups) periods where campers can customize their CLC summer. Our elective program ensures that our campers get the most out of their experience, providing them with additional time in the areas that they enjoy most and an opportunity to experience activities they have always wanted to try. Additionally, campers can choose to be on one of our many inter-camp sports teams, perform in a drama production and take part in our exciting camp within a camp specialty programs.
